Las Vegas - Road Trip Jewel in the Desert

Las Vegas, Nevada on the western side of the United States is truly a Jewel in the Desert. Its access to some of the most iconic national parks in nearby states makes it a road trip hub supreme.

In April 2022, my family and I flew in to Las Vegas Nevada.
For next 5-6 days, we took road trips to different national or state park.
States were Nevada , Utah, Arizona and California

Parks were Zion National Park in Utah, Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada, Death Valley National Park in California and Grand Canyon National Park (West Rim) in Arizona.

How to Plan a Road Trip

It is critical that you plan well in advance. This will be based on duration of the trip. As a minimum, you must consider below categories.

You Must Plan for Below Categories:
Location From - Where are you driving from?
Location To - Where are you headed?
Type of Automobile

What is Your Total Budget?
Are You Traveling Alone or as a Group?
What is the Duration of your Trip?
Is Your Group Adult or are there Children?

It is critical that you plan well in advance.

As a minimum, you must consider location from and to, type of automobile, total budget, individual or group, duration and whether any children will travel.

Types of Road Trips

Road Trips can be anywhere in the globe. You can choose from USA, Canada, India or for that matter any other country for different journey experiences.

Road Trips are of two major categories.
Self Drive Trips and Driver Assisted Trips.
Road Trips are point to point journeys.
Road Trips require excellent road conditions

Duration is a Key factor.
Road Trip durations can be from 1 hour all the way to 20 hours.
Weather is a Major factor for road trips
Road Trips are really gorgeous fun.

Road Trips can be anywhere in the globe. You can choose from USA, Canada, India or for that matter any other country for different journey experiences.

Where Should You Go?

Road Trips can be from one city to another. Or it can be from your home city to a particular landmark, say a National Park, Waterfall, and more. United States and Canada have a robust network of express highways.

United States and Canada have a robust network of express highways.

United States' Inter State Highways are a great choice for road trips
You can literally select a couple of states and begin planning a road trip
Road Trips traversing more than one state are exciting.
