How Do You Get There?

You can reach the Tarangire National Park by road from Arush taking 2 hours. You can also fly into Kilimanjaro and take a domestic flight to the Tarangire airstrip.

  • We went by road from Nairobi in Kenya to the Tarangire National Park in Tanzania.
  • From there, we went through Arusha on our way to the Tarangire.
  • It took us about 10 hours from Nairobi to the Serengeti with stops at Namanga and Arusha.
  • It takes about 2 hours by road from Arusha to reach Tarangire National Park

You can reach the Tarangire National Park by road from Arush taking 2 hours.

You can also fly into Kilimanjaro and take a domestic flight to the Tarangire airstrip.

Our Game Drives were by a Land Cruiser with open sides for sitting inside and viewing game. See image to the right.
